How Often To Post Your Blog?

Post When You've Got Something Good to Say
From Advertising Age Online

This article is an interview with blogging genius, Seth Godin, asking what is considered an acceptable duration of time between blog postings. A week? A day? 3 hours? "Post only when you have something to say," Godin answers.

I feel as if that's my cue to just stop blogging. I honestly find the concept so weird and I don't know if I can pinpoint exactly why. Maybe it has to do with the fact that I'm not one who likes to voice my opinion to every individual that stumbles upon my site. Maybe it's because I really just don't like to write. Maybe it's because I find it impersonal. Or maybe it's just for the sheer fact that I never feel like I have anything to say. Regardless, blogging is just one of the bandwagons that I can't seem to jump on.

How do I go about changing such a stubborn viewpoint? It makes me wonder.

"The real bottom line is that, like Godin, you have to love writing, sharing information and conversation to sustain an effective blog over a period of time. Writing short and tight is icing on the cake. Add a dose of respect, goodwill and trust, and you're good to go."

According to the quote above, I'm 0/3. I'm supposed to love:
1) Writing: nope, not at all
2) Sharing information: ehh, not so much
3) Conversation: how is blogging conversation when you're the one doing all the talking/typing?

Seems like I've got some work to do.

Ahh ... the conversation begins when you blog about something that generates a comment. Like this!
